Abstract
From the study of different definitions of Design, made by renowned institutions, theorists, designers and the years of experience dedicated to the training of professionals in this area and practice of design, we analyze the conceptual convergence of exercise of the profession and theoretical definitions, in order to propose a definition inclusive, holistic and flexible in scope and adequacy, which allows to include different types and profiles of projects and provide space for future problems and design new scenarios, corresponding to the dynamic of social, economic, cultural, technological and environmental factors that are being developed.
