Abstract

The designer Ramsés Bernal Rodríguez has focused his interest on achieving national solutions with the technical resources available in the country, which has also led him to further study the link between Design and the Economy and the relationship between designer and company. . He has endeavored to develop products not only to replace imports but to create the bases for future exports that generate foreign exchange earnings for the country.


A chronological tour of some of the works that he has developed from his student days to the present is carried out in the article.

Graduated from Industrial Design (1994) at the Superior Institute of Design (ISDi) of the University of Havana. Member of the Cuban Association of Social Communicators since 1995. ISDI professor between 1994 and 1998. Project specialist at the Center for Naval Projects (1998-2000). Specialist in projects of the Automotive Development Institute (2000-2012). Designer of the Cuba Foreign Trade magazine of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, 2018. Designer of the Union of Military Industry. He has participated in national and international events, as well as as a Jury at the International Fair of Havana and Cubaindustria.
