Abstract

A panoramic and evaluative analysis of the collection of the National Museum of Contemporary Cuban Ceramics allows an approach to the manifestation in the country. They refer to aspects such as collecting work, singularities of the discipline in the Cuban plastic context, museographic-museological management, artists, their works, visual resources and speeches.

Surisday Reyes, Museo Nacional de la Cerámica Contemporánea Cubana

Historiadora del arte y máster en Preservación y Gestión del Patrimonio Cultural. Directora del Museo Nacional de la Cerámica Contemporánea Cubana. Ha desarrollado importantes proyectos curatoriales como parte de las Bienales de Cerámica y las Bienales de La Habana. En el 2017 realizó la curaduría de la muestra internacional “Form and Balance”, West Virginia University Art Museum, Estados Unidos. Ha obtenido tres becas de estudio fuera de Cuba y colaborado con diversas publicaciones especializadas en artes visuales tanto nacionales como extranjeras. Publicó el libro “Ceramistas cubanas: el canon postmoderno”, Ediciones Boloña, La Habana, 2022.
