Abstract
The following article presents a brief historical view of the activity of design assessment in the Cuban context, so describing shortly the structure, goals and contents of the National System for Design Assessment, in the fields of design management, design of industrial and visual communication products as well as design investment, showing examples of its application in areas such as business diagnosis, the evaluation of export goods as well as the Supervision to the Cuban State Ministries and Central Managing Organizations.
