Abstract

The following article presents a brief historical view of the activity of design assessment in the Cuban context, so describing shortly the structure, goals and contents of the National System for Design Assessment, in the fields of design management, design of industrial and visual communication products as well as design investment, showing examples of its application in areas such as business diagnosis, the evaluation of export goods as well as the Supervision to the Cuban State Ministries and Central Managing Organizations.

Graduada de la Academia de Artes de San Alejandro (1989) y del Instituto Superior de Diseño (1994). Máster en Gestión de Diseño e Innovación (2007). En la Oficina Nacional de Diseño: diseñadora y gestora de diseño en la Unidad de Desarrollo del Diseño (1994 - 2011) y Directora de la Dirección de Evaluación del Diseño (desde 2011). Profesora en talleres de preparación pre-profesional en 5to año de la carrera Diseño de Comunicación Visual. Premio ONDi de Diseño en 2002 y 2012.

Alejandro Ojeda, Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana J.A. Echeverría

Graduado de Ingeniería Industrial en la CUJAE (1979). Especialista en Organización del Trabajo y los Salarios en el MINAZ (1980-1982). Especialista en evaluación y diagnóstico del diseño en la Dirección de Evaluación de la Oficina Nacional de Diseño desde 1983. Profesor de las asignaturas Metodología de la Investigación y Mercadotecnia en el Instituto Superior de Diseño.
