##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
Mixing different cultures and design specialties in a project, although it is always a challenge, enriches the participants. The Workshop held between graphic design students of SUNY New Paltz and both profiles of the ISDi, is proof of this. The article includes experiences and results of the work carried out in January 2019, based on the structured observation of the authors and the testimonies made by the participating students. Our workshop asked students focused on the daily lives of people and communities in Cuba and the United States, resulting in high impact solutions that emerged from the exploration of different approaches to their common needs.
