Abstract

This article aims to summarize the development of library and information system in the area of design in Cuba. Through the review of various documents in the history of the National Bureau of Design (ONDI) and file various documents ISDI the author is telling the history of labor in this specialty, its importance and perspectives.

Curriculum synthesis

Amarilis Matamoros, Instituto Superior de Diseño de la UH

Graduada en la Universidad de La Habana en 1989 en Licenciatura en Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información. Trabajó en la Biblioteca Municipal de G?ines como Directora. En la Casa de Cultura Municipal de Playa como J?Departamento de la Biblioteca, especialista en la Biblioteca del ISPJAE, en el CECAT (ISPJAE), en la ONG Hábitat Cuba como Jefa de Proyecto de Información a nivel nacional, en la ONDi-ISDi como Directora de la Biblioteca. Ha presentado diferentes artículos y trabajos en eventos de Información en diferentes años, en Forma en temas como evaluación del desempeño de acuerdo con las normas ISO de calidad. Realizó la Estrategia para conformación de la Biblioteca General universitaria de la Universidad de San Gregorio de Portoviejo. Conformó la Bibliografía Nacional de Diseño. Ha trabajado en la Editorial Forma de la ONDI y sus publicaciones.
