A3manos magazine is published in electronic format by the Higher Institute of Design (ISDi), Havana University, Cuba. Its objective is to publish and promote scientific production in the branches of Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design and other related areas, in addition to providing a space for Cuban design professionals for the dissemination and visibility of the results of their research.

The magazine is primarily aimed at design researchers, professors and university students, as well as professionals in design, architecture, photography and related branches of design and art.

Topics published: Industrial design, Visual communication design, Design in its relationship with other disciplines, Theory and pedagogy of design, Sustainable design, Design and society, New technologies for design.

Types of publications:

1. Review articles: understand the state of the art of a subject in question.
2. Original articles: presents unpublished results of scientific works within the indicated themes.
3. Short articles: includes reflections, essays, interviews, project descriptions, on different problems of professional interest.

The author is responsible for the criteria and opinions of each work.

Periodicity:   Biannual.

Form of distribution: This publication can be accessed through its website, which operates according to the philosophy of the Open Access to Information Movement.

Evaluation procedures: The process of publishing articles in the journal A3manos contemplates different levels of review, starting with the Editorial Team, which will verify that the papers meet the minimum requirements set forth in the publication standards in order to be submitted to a blindly arbitration system by academic peers, who will evaluate the materials confidentially and anonymously and will be responsible for their criteria and recommendations. The documents that the arbitrators receive do not have the name of the authors or any other information about the author identity.

The referees are professionals of recognized national or international prestige in the topics of the magazine. In each issue appear the specialists who acted as reviewers, who are included as part of the scientific advisory board of the journal.

Manuscript submission:

• The article submission process will be carried out online,for which you must follow the following steps:

  • - Register / Enter

  • - Make a new shipment (follow the steps),

  the main author or the one designated as the main contact for editorial correspondence.

  As part of the documentation attached to the article, the "Declaration of originality and transfer of copyright" document must be sent to the Editorial Team of the journal, signed by all the authors of the work.
