Abstract

Today's talk is From Dust to Cloud. How do you get from one point to another? Most of those who have attended this congress are professors, teachers, educators and / or designers, in short, they are (we are) all "creative."
We know that the shortest distance between two points is the straight line. We creatives don't usually take a straight line to connect those points, we like to be a little more complicated.
We could see the theme "From Dust to the Cloud" from different perspectives. One would be the creation of man and his arrival in heaven. We will take the creative path, going from analog to digital.

Diego Vainesman, 40N47 Design, Inc.

Director de diseño. Actualmente dirige su propio estudio de diseño 40N47 Design, Inc. en Nueva York. Trabajó como director de diseño en la compañía MJM y director de arte en la agencia de publicidad Chillingworth/Radding. Es profesor de tipografía (Type: bridging image and context) en el Master de Visual Narrative en la Universidad del School of Visual Arts. Fue profesor de diseño gráfico en la Universidad de Parsons y en la Universidad de Pratt. Da charlas y talleres sobre diseño en Europa y Latinoamérica. Ha sido jurado en distintas competencias y concursos internacionales. Es miembro del Type Directors Club y fue parte del Comité Ejecutivo durante 12 años, siendo el primer latino que asumiera como presidente. Actualmente es el enlace con Sudamérica y países de habla hispana. Creó clases de Masters para las distintas audiencias. Se desempeñó como corresponsal de Nueva York de la revista tipoGráfica en Argentina (1987-2007) y escribió para el libro Tipografía Latinoamericana (2013).
