Abstract

To disseminate the development process of Defense Preparation as a subject of the study plan at the Higher Institute of Design and the results achieved in the 40 years of existence of the institution is the objective of the work presented.

It shows that the development of said preparation has been ascending and adapted to each historical moment, where an attempt has been made to satisfy the aspirations of our students and at the same time pay prioritized attention to the Defense of the Homeland.

Likewise, it is possible to see that designers play a prominent role in carrying out tasks in the interest of national security and defense, whether in times of peace or when an exceptional situation is declared, as shown. in the results achieved.
