Abstract

The existence of a hegemonic world in decline and the need for its transformation into a multipolar world at the beginning of the 21st century, together with the Third and Fourth industrial revolutions, impose great challenges on humanity. Design, as a prelude to innovation in the production of products that impact the material and spiritual conditions of daily life, contributes significantly to the formation of meanings of life of the new social subject, capable of assuming the leading role that the moment demands, or its reverse. It is here where the philosophical conception of the activity of the design professional acquires great significance. Approaching this problem is the essential objective of this article.
